  • Fabricator/Installer | Blissfield, MI & Meridian, ID

    We are seeking Fabricators and Installers for our timber manufacturing plants in Blissfield, MI and Meridian, ID.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assisting with the execution of any and all tasks associated with the fabrication of timber frame product lines.
    • Work as a member of the operations team in all assigned tasks.
    • Operation of all equipment in the operations department including, but not limited to: forklifts, machinery, and hand tools.
    • Adhere to employee manual, safety procedures and all company policies and processes.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong work ethic
    • Fast paced, task-oriented team player
    • Construction math, measuring and basic computer skills helpful
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
    • Continuous bending, twisting, and standing in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing facility and occasionally on build-sites
    • Occasional travel with per diem pay and overtime may be required
    • Pass a pre-employment drug test

  • Residential Construction Project Manager | Blissfield, MI & Meridian, ID

    PFB Custom Homes Group is seeking an entry-level Project Manager in Residential Construction to join our growing team. This position will be based out of Blissfield, MI or Meridian, ID.

    Our clients appreciate our one-of-a-kind heavy timber designs, our attention to detail, and our commitment to the use of sustainable, high-efficiency, and high-quality materials. We are looking for a Project Manager in Residential Construction with similar values and beliefs who can translate his or her expertise and skills to our growth initiatives. Experience with project management and new residential construction will make you an excellent fit for our team. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at once and communicating directly with our in-house Sales, Design, and Accounting Departments as well as customers and subcontractors on custom residential projects.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee high-end residential construction projects from conception to completion on both design-build and project management level
    • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
    • Negotiate terms of subcontractor work order agreements, draft subcontracts, and obtain permits
    • Oversee all on-site and off-site construction to monitor compliance with plan specifications, building and safety regulations
    • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
    • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
    • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft programs)
    • High level of professionalism
    • Ability to set, coordinate and accomplish multiple competing priorities
    • Out of state travel
