  • Residential Construction Project Manager | Carson City, NV

    PFB Custom Homes Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Residential Construction to join our growing team. This position will be based out of Carson City, NV.

    Our clients appreciate our one-of-a-kind heavy timber designs, our attention to detail, and our commitment to the use of sustainable, high-efficiency, and high-quality materials. We are looking for a Project Manager in Residential Construction with similar values and beliefs who can translate his or her expertise and skills to our growth initiatives. Experience with project management and new residential construction will make you an excellent fit for our team. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at once and communicating directly with our in-house Sales, Design, and Accounting Departments as well as customers and subcontractors on custom residential projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities include:

    • Oversee high-end residential construction projects from conception to completion on both design-build and project management level
    • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
    • Negotiate terms of subcontractor work order agreements, draft subcontracts, and obtain permits
    • Oversee all on-site and off-site construction to monitor compliance with plan specifications, building and safety regulations
    • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
    • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
    • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

    Skills, Knowledge, and Requirements:

    • 5+ years’ experience in residential new construction; preferably in a supervisory capacity
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft programs)
    • High level of professionalism
    • Ability to set, coordinate and accomplish multiple competing priorities
    • Out of state travel

    Base salary is commensurate with experience. Incentive plan(s), profit sharing and benefits also available.

  • Architectural Drafter | Meridian, ID

    PFB Custom Homes Group’s M.T.N Design is seeking an Architectural Drafter to join our Design/Build team based out of our Meridian, ID office.

We are looking for an Architectural Drafter with similar values and beliefs who can translate his or her expertise and skills to our growth initiatives. Experience with AutoCAD will make you an excellent fit for our team. You will be responsible for working with our Design/Build team to produce working Construction Documents and other tasks as needed within the work flow.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Create working Construction Documents using AutoCAD and other design software for manufacturing
    • Communicate with other departments and supervisors as appropriate

    Skills, Knowledge and Requirements

    • High school diploma (or equivalent experience and training), Associates degree preferred
    • General knowledge of the residential construction industry
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
    • Ability to think and draw 3-dimensionally
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
    • High level of professionalism
    • Ability to set, coordinate and accomplish multiple competing priorities
    • Work in a team environment with other design and construction professionals

  • Entry-Level Carpenter/Framer | Meridian, ID

    PFB Custom Homes Groups, an award-winning custom log and timber homes business is looking for an Entry-level Carpenter/Framer. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual, who loves a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Are you passionate about building custom homes? Enjoy working with an entrepreneurial team? Have excellent skills as a craftsman? We are willing to train the right person.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Entry-level Carpenter/Framer will coordinate with the operations group to execute any and all tasks associated with the fabrication and installation of timber frame and structurally insulated panels (SIP) product lines.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    General Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to employee manual, safety procedures and all company policies and processes
    • Work as a member of the operations team in all assigned tasks

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Read plans, blueprints, job orders, and drawings
    • Determine which tools are needed for projects
    • Fabricate product at manufacturing facility
    • Install product at job-site

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

    • Some experience in carpentry preferred
    • Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw and jigsaw
    • Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites
    • Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
    • Willingness to travel 60+% of the time
    • Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Basic math and measuring skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Prior construction experience is preferred
    • Knowledge of lumber grades is preferred

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Fast paced, task-oriented environment
    • Repetitious lifting of up to 80 pounds
    • Continuous bending, twisting, and standing up to 10 hours per day in a manufacturing facility or an outdoor environment during installation at build site
