When Michigan-based business owners started picturing their dream home, they had a good idea of what they envisioned – they just needed to put together their team to bring their vision to life. The couple had previously built a picturesque barn on their property, and wanted their home to complement the beauty of the barn, while providing a modern, luxurious living space. Their builder had drafted 2D plans for the home, and the clients were searching for the best company to provide a comprehensive design solution.

GRAND DESIGN
This custom home boasts striking features, including a spacious great room and covered outdoor living area, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding landscape. An interior balcony from the loft overlooks the great room, enhancing the open and inviting atmosphere. The timber frame design showcases the distinctive king post trusses, highlighted with a curved lower chord, adding elegance and character to the home’s architectural appeal.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
Situated on 70 stunning acres with wetlands and a creek, this project embraced the power of the environment. Integrating sustainable building practices and energy-efficient solutions like SIPs into the design helped to align with the natural landscape and minimize environmental impact.
The development of the structural 3D model not only gives a clear depiction of the structural concept, but also has data built into the 3D modeling that allows Riverbend to develop an accurate materials cost estimate for the client.
