This home was designed to enjoy the crystal clear water and rolling hills of Dale Hollow, Kentucky. Since the area was originally founded by French fur traders, the homeowner decided to emulate the historic French Country home style in his timber frame home.

A gravel drive, flanked by tiered retaining walls and lined with lanterns, leads up the home’s stone courtyard. A timber frame pavilion and recessed entry porch are perfect for savoring warm summer evenings. Arched, leaded windows; shutters; decorated chimneys; and multiple spires add to the home’s Old World motif. Timber framing is the ideal building style to give the impression that the home has stood on the stone bluff since the time of the fur traders.
