Timber Home Receives Top Level Energy Rating

As with many contemporary home builders the Lefebvres wanted to strike a balance between creative architecture and a home that would be warm and save on energy bills.

After working directly with Riverbend’s design team and utilizing our proven building system, the Lefebvres have a beautiful 6,000 sq.ft. home, that looks just as they envisioned, with a winter heating bill of less than $200 a month.

That’s quite an accomplishment considering the size of their home and their location in the cold environment of Calgary, Alberta Canada. In fact their Riverbend timber frame home recently achieved an EnerGuide energy efficiency rating of 86, where 90 equals a zero-energy house.
