Fairfield rendering a riverbend favorite plan

In the past, we have written about some of our favorite plans here at Riverbend. Today, we asked Amber, Riverbend’s administrative assistant, which plan concepts in our gallery are her favorites and why.

The Fairfield

What I enjoy most about the Fairfield [shown above] is how the covered front porch seems to welcome you from every angle of the home, including the wrap-around deck. This lends it such a cozy look, while still blending into the traditional feel of the rest of the design. Stepping through its covered front entry, you are greeted by a foyer that opens to an enormous great room. And, that great room separates the master bedroom from the rest of the home, creating a lot of privacy. Also, the loft connecting the two halves of the second level provides a unique flow because it opens to the great room below. Lastly, I like that the garage is offset in a way that allows for easy access and added seclusion.

The Tuscany

The Tuscany design is full of dramatically sloped roof lines and French country inspired dormers. While the look of traditional timber is something I’m drawn to, I do enjoy this use of exterior stone. The kitchen plays well into the rest of the main living spaces because of the configuration of its island and counter space. You really can’t go wrong with his and hers walk-in closets and sinks in the master suite. On the upper level, the use of skylights is visually appealing and also a fantastic way to allow natural light in. Overall, the Tuscany’s entire floor plan just flows in an efficient and attractive way.

The Sonoma Hills

The Sonoma Hills’ master suite shares a fireplace chimney with that of its great room

I absolutely love the large view window, use of stone, and dynamic roof ridges of the Sonoma Hills‘ rear elevation. Both its interior and exterior layouts make outdoor living easy and fun with a large wraparound patio, an outdoor kitchen, and dining area that has several pop outs for different property views.  The energy of the home’s exterior design flows into the interior floor plan. I also really like the kitchen’s accommodating multiple workstations. The master suite is private, yet connected at the same time, with its own entrance to the patio and a fireplace that connects to the great room fireplace. Extra suites on the second level and above the garage are great for homeowners expecting a lot of overnight visitors.

The Lexington

The Lexington has such a characteristically colonial look. The layout provides many different angles and corners that make up unique living spaces. Anyone could fall in love with the size of the master suite’s walk-in closet and its private sitting area. I also like how the garage angles to create an L-shape footprint, providing more privacy for the home.

The Manitou Shores

Clear panoramic views and octagonal shaping make the Manitou Shores truly unique

What drew my eye to the Manitou Shores was the multiple levels and porches. I can just picture it built on a beachfront property, offering outstanding views on every level. I like how the kitchen opens up to the dining room for entertaining and that there is a large pantry available. The multi-purpose capability of the loft makes it a great space for sitting and enjoying the natural light and views alone or playing cards with friends.
