With over 50 unique floor plan concepts in Riverbend’s portfolio, we offer a variety of different styles and designs to inspire your timber frame home. Sometimes, however, it can be difficult to find a place to start your custom home journey. With this in-mind, we present this list of some of our favorite plans, and include some insight as to why. Whether you are partial to gracious outdoor living or stunning property views, discover your favorite plan below.
The home design concept seen above, the Hamilton, offers a unique floor plan, making it our favorite for entertaining family and friends. Its contemporary living spaces are accessed through a foyer which opens to an enormous, timber frame great room beyond. From there, depending on the season, your guests can either migrate to the expansive covered deck just outside, or enjoy the spacious, screened-in porch.
Both dinner parties and casual get-togethers are a breeze with formal dining and kitchen spaces opening into the great room. A main level master suite is cleverly secluded from public spaces and includes a walk-in closet. Additional bedrooms, one with a reading nook, share a full bath, allowing privacy for overnight company, while a bonus room offers space for a hobby room, home gym, or playroom. Lastly, you can incorporate the Hamilton’s optional basement including its recreation room/bar space, home theater, a fourth bedroom, and even a large, covered terrace.
For those who relish outdoor living, the Bar Harbor floor plan design concept provides an exceptional layout. Featuring plenty of patios, both covered and open, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature or admire your gorgeous garden. Enjoy a starry summer’s evening by Bar Harbor’s outdoor fire pit after hosting a barbecue for family and friends amidst the outdoor kitchen of your large patio. The various outdoor living spaces of this Mountain Style home also bring you the benefit of expanding your home’s square footage to the exterior.
The Craftsman Style Bridgewater design presents an open and inviting layout with tremendous opportunities for admiring beautiful vistas. For example, large picture windows, framed in timber adorn the majority of the south facing wall; this feature subsequently allows uninterrupted views and an abundance of natural light. Continuing this open theme, the upstairs offers clerestory windows lining the front of the home along with a private deck opening from a guest bedroom.
The forever popular Cattail Lodge concept continues to inspire Riverbend clients across both the United States and Canada. This is due, in part, to its unique roof lines and ridges. It also happens to be our favorite design concept for enjoying a breezy summer night. Sit a spell on the deck just outside your great room or master bedroom. Or, if you need protection from pests, retreat to the screened-in porch directly adjacent to your dining room. The Cattail Lodge combines charming details with Traditional Style timber frame architecture to make your getaway dream home a reality.
