Advantage® ICF System

The Advantage ICF System is an insulating concrete forming method that provides the foundation for many homes. It consists of two layers of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation with web connectors molded into the EPS insulation. The top and bottom edges of each block are designed with a preformed interlocking mechanism to ensure that web connectors align vertically when stacked.

Once these blocks are assembled, concrete is poured into the hollow core to create a monolithic wall of uniform thickness. These left-in-place forms not only provide continuous insulation on both sides of the wall, but also provide a backing for drywall on the inside and stucco, lap siding, or brick on the outside.

The result is a superior, energy efficient wall that is exceptionally strong, quiet, and will provide long term energy cost savings as well as adding resale value to the building. This is an excellent compliment to the energy-efficient and structurally sound Riverbend timber frame.
