Riverbend Model Home Wins National Honor
Blissfield, Michigan - Not only are Riverbend Timber Frame homes beautifully efficient, they are creatively designed, too. Building Systems Magazine and the Building Systems Council of the National Association of Home Builders gave their Blissfield model Grand Prize honors in its Excellence in Model Home Design Contest.
The judges were impressed with the creative use of the timber and Insulspan's structural insulated panels that come together to create this hybrid timber frame. They gave the Pleasant Meadow high marks because the design brings beauty and strength together in one energy-efficient and award-winning package.
Award Presentation
The award was presented to CEO Frank Baker at a recent trade show and conference for building systems manufacturers in Puerto Rico.
The judges complimented the craftsman style home, called the Pleasant Meadow, for its beautiful arches, huge windows and attention to detail. Baker says, "Insulspan's strong insulated panels work very well with timber frame construction. They are very versatile. Not only can a homeowner build a strong home, they can save money on their energy bills with these super-insulated walls." The Pleasant Meadow is surrounded by cozy porches outside and grand spaces inside. The Insulspan panels and beautiful timber framed interior eliminate many walls to create an open floor plan. This 2,900 square foot model home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths.
